KASABIAS was founded as a partnership firm in the fifties and then became a Limited Liability company (known as H. P. Kasabia Bros Ltd) during the year 1968. All the founders of this company are no longer alive and Mr. Arvind Narain Kasabia took over this family business as its sole owner. To grow the business Mr. Kasabia appointed professionals to manage and grow the company. He appointed Mr. Harish Srinivasan who is a Chartered Accountant and has a Management Degree by profession as the Company’s Director. Mr. Harish Srinivasan with his strong financial knowledge, Management acumen took the challenge and grew the company by almost 3 times. With Harish’s experience, today, Kasabias is financially a very sound company. Our Sales, Marketing and Operations function is handled by Mr. Vinod and Munikumaran. To strengthen the finance functions Kasabias employed Mr. Nalin Nettikumara as its Financial Controller. The board is having a blend of business experience from Mr. Arvind Kasabia and a touch of academic and modern management from Harish, Vinod, Munikumaran & Nalin. Kasabias is also having a sound IT structure which is fully managed by Mr. Rupesh Kumar. Rupesh joined the company since November 2006 and has been handling the Information’s and Technology Department with a great intelligence. Also, in the senior management team is Mr. Ratilal who has got in-depth knowledge of the hardware industry, and has been with the company for over 35 years managing the companies indent department with great success.
As a business KASABIAS has been in Hardware Industry for over four decades and very well conversant with the hardware business of the country. The principles laid down by the founders are solid in terms of its business integrity. KASABIAS being a very traditional run company has been a very low profile company all these years. But since the time the reins of the company have been taken over by Mr. Arvind Kasabia in the late nineties, the company has never turned its back on growth.
KASABIAS are very well represented in Vitilevu with its six retail outlets. To support its logistics we also have a big warehouse and a timber division in Suva and a warehouse in Lautoka to cater for Western region requirements. The total staff strength of our company is close to 150, which includes a sales team of within the retail shop and outdoor sales executives.
